how to start my 85 gallon canister filter miedia?
i have a jebo canister filter and all i have in there are 8 spike tubes and lots of black sponge i want to put in activated carbon to but i do not know in with order i should put it rite now the spikey tubes are at the botton and folowed by the sponges where should i put the activated carbon?plus i tried rinsing the activated carbon but when i rinse it black water comes out and im afriad to put it in there becuse i thinkk itll make my tank water all black will it and if not how will it work?
You will need to rinse the carbon until it stops producing black water. Once you get clear water running through it, you’re set to use it for your aquarium. There are bags you can purchase from a high quality aquatics retailer for stocking with loose carbon, but you can also put it into fine stockings, and tie them off to make little packages. The best thing about this approach is you can mix the carbon with other filter media to make customized filter packages for your tank, so as your aquarium matures you should keep that in mind.
In your actual filter, place these packages AFTER the mechanical filtration, that is, the sponge/wool element that collects waste. This allows the carbon maximum exposure to cleaner water and will result in the biggest difference in terms of improving water quality. Be sure to change it around once every month in order to keep it fresh and useful. Best of luck with the filter!

How can I tell if my Power Steering Pump on a 1998 Ford Explorer is going up?
Okay, so I have a 1998 Ford Explorer 2 door V6 4×4.
Recently I have been hearing a noise coming from the engine, it is basically a howling or winding noise. The noise is coincides with the rpm’s, meaning if I am sitting at idle it’s quite, but what the rpm’s are up(speeding up) I hear the noise get louder.
Also, this really only happens when turning into a parking spot, I hear a loud almost grinding noise.
The truck seems to run fine, the steering wheel isn’t harder to turn or anything like that. I was told by a person or two they think my power steering pump is going up. The power steering fluid level has been fine for the past couple of weeks, holding steady. There does appear to be some sort of fluid leaking very slowly under the truck, not enough to drip and make a mark on the pavement, but the oil pan appears wet. I will check out exactly what the fluid is after work.
Any idea’s on what my problem is would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!
You might have to bleed it. turn full lock right hold and to the left hold .1 or 2 times.
