Then an aquarium heater be used outdoors?
the water heater is submersible to 100 watts for 5-20 gallon aquariums, is it safe to use outdoors in a small pond? the pond is about 10-15 gallons and is temporary, but im worried about conditions at night which is why I ask about this configuration is heated to a cursor red adult ear
A submersible heater should be fine. It is built to be in the water. Move outside is not going to subject it to something more than it can handle. This is assuming you do not live in a very cold climate. Heaters lose its effectiveness as the temperature of the room, or in your case, your garden, descends.

What is the Zeitgeist?
PART I: WHAT THE Zeitgeist
It is everybody breathes something. Something is everything the world. . . like a fog that obscures our vision. Until we are awake, we live with the illusion that we are shelter. We think we're in control. We believe that we are independent. But only because we have forgotten. We have forgotten history and you forgot to listen to the wisdom of the past. . . our ancestors. They too were in it. Yet some enlightened minds have seen through the veil.
Since humans began to think beyond immediate needs, we have tried to transcend target = "_blank"> Zeitgeist. For better or for worse, it can make us think and act in certain ways. Unfortunately, we forget that each individual has the power. Everyone has a choice. We can choose to follow blindly the Zeitgeist or we can choose to transcend it. We can go on living in our conscious the semi allowing others think of us and to be myopic and apathetic or we can choose to transcend the zeitgeist. WHAT The zeitgeist?
Each time, like everyone else, has its own personality. It is the air time. This is not an esoteric concept. It is a simple word but very descriptive word that everyone can understand. The German word Zeitgeist (Often in capitals and italics) is composed of two German words: Zeit meaning "time" and Geist, meaning "spirit." The word refers to the mind of a certain age. . . the midst of a society or an era.
With hindsight, we can understand the personality of each era. . . what he did right. . . where he went wrong. . . and the people (influencers) who shaped, for better or for worse. Whether the mood of the 1960s, the Renaissance or the air time of pre-Nazi Germany, behind every age are influential people who affect the masses and thereby define the personality a time (eg, musicians, poets, novelists, writers, philosophers, essayists, filmmakers, etc.).
Think about your own personality. It was partly shaped by your genetic makeup but also by your parents. What parents are children, Influencers are air time. Not only does each person shaped by their parents but also by culture, by the Zeitgeist.
We are a product of our times, that is to say, we are the product of the zeitgeist. Just as our parents can affect the way we think so too does the Zeitgeist affect how we think and act. Our parents inculcate certain values and ideas and these ideas become part of our system of beliefs, even with the Zeitgeist. The problem is when we're in the zeitgeist, we are often not fully aware of its manifestations, how it affects us and how it directs the future. . . sometimes for better and sometimes for worse.
Consider, For example, how one particular Zeitgeist in North America promoted the "idea" that women were inferior to men. In fact, Zeitgeist went on to say that women are not "persons". To assign the Zeitgeist, just an one person to act as a catalyst. A Canadian woman, for example, the name of Emily Murphy sought to be a senator, but did not could. Why? Because she was a woman. Remember the words of America's third president, Thomas Jefferson: "The appointment of a woman in power is an innovation for which the public is not ready, me neither "(the works of Thomas Jefferson, vol. 10 para. 735)
Remember, the Zeitgeist of the times stated (under the Act British North America), women were not allowed to vote because they were not legally "persons" so a woman could not be a senator. Murphy's motion to reverse this "idea" – to overthrow this unique aspect of the zeitgeist – Became known as the Persons Case. The most Constitutional important in Canadian history. These are the influential people who cast the Zeitgeist era Emily Murphy and because most people are faithful, they uncritically accepted that women were inferior. We should not be so foolish or arrogant to believe we are now so much wiser than before. Everyone, from time to time, needs to be awakened from his sleep his ideological.
Sometimes when influencers share their ideas, they become ideologies. Ideologies affect how we think and therefore how we behave. For this reason, influencers have heavy responsibilities. Their ideas will live on long after their deaths and potentially affect future generations. Consider, for example, people like Aristotle, Darwin, Marx, Gandhi, Hitler and Martin Luther King, etc. These are people who in one way or another, touched the masses and shaped the Zeitgeist (spirit and environment) of their time.
With hindsight it is easy to understand the past as the 1960 Zeitgeist, for example. Because we have hindsight we can see how certain ideas people, namely, influencers, touched the masses and, therefore, defined the zeitgeist of the 1960s. Ideas can be very powerful. And because ideas can change the way people think, the ideas can affect how people act. If we were to examine by the 1960s, we were able to connect the dots, so to speak, those who "created" what we now call the Zeitgeist of the year 1960. For example, Michael Lang, co-creator of Woodstock musicians like The Beatles, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, and Jodi Mitchell; intellectuals such as Isaac Asimov, Noam Chomsky, Carl Sagan, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Alan Watts, activists like Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Mario Savio, Gloria Steinem, and Abbie Hoffman, producers / directors like Ingmar Bergman, Woody Allen, Michelangelo Antonioni, and Dennis Hopper artists like Peter Blake, Bridget Riley, Sol LeWitt, James Rosenquist and, poets like Robert Frost and Basil Bunting; authors as William Faulkner, Truman Capote, Ralph Jules Feiffer, Louise Fitzhugh, John Steinbeck and Betty Friedan, playwrights such as Joseph Heller, Gore Vidal, &; Tom Stoppard; religious leaders like Pope John XXIII, Paramahansa Yogananda, Billy Graham, Franklin Merrell-Wolff, Irina Tweedie, Sri Aurobindo, and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
This list is not exhaustive, but at least shows how people's ideas influence the masses and create what is calls to mind the time. In short, ideas have consequences and actions arise from thoughts and ideas / ideologies are generated by influencers. If we are aware of the current zeitgeist, then we can, with foresight, predicting how the future will unfold. If we act wisely, we could reduce harmful ideologies. Just as it is difficult you know, it is also difficult to understand the times when you're in it.
When we reflect our personal history, we often say: "I wish I knew what I know now." That's the advantage of hindsight. And if we could apply retrospectively in the future? These forward-looking.
If we are wise and intelligent and works like the prospective decline in prospective but of course looking forward to.
Foresight allows us to live with less regret because we're able to "see" the future if needed to continue on our present course. Unfortunately, too often we of short-term solutions to the problems afflicting society. About the Author
Dr. Malcolm CC Armstrong is the founder of the Zeitgeist Project. Before beginning his academic career with a liberal arts degree from the University of Waterloo, Malcolm served as an infantryman in the Canadian Armed Forces. Later he made his first trip to India to help serve in a Himalayan village for a year. At Waterloo he met his wife Robin. They soon embarked on their yearlong honeymoon, traveling via motorcycle across North America. During their road trip they took a three month hiatus to work on a tall-ship while sailing through the Caribbean before making their way to the Amazon. Upon completion of their honeymoon-photographic journey, Malcolm then completed his first MA degree in Charlotte, N.C. Malcolm returned to Canada to continue his studies in Philosophy and World Religions. He obtained a second Master’s degree at the University of Toronto. In 2001, Malcolm and his wife moved to India for four years so that he could complete his PhD in World Religions & Philosophy. me and my friends are contemplating going on a road trip. nearly 20 hours of driving. but we do not have a water pump, can you drive without it?

I want a solar birdbath but I really do not know if the cost is worth it since I live in New York from the West. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

How filter media work. Guidelines Want to know
The action of the biological filter imposes a heavy burden on oxygen available in the water, which is essential to keep the bacteria alive and working effectively. To meet this demand, the use of stones air, powered by an air pump of appropriate size in the biological steps. Supply of commercial products such as wheat germ pellets or wheat or barley boiled house is ideal at the time. These heavy foods settle to the bottom of the pond and make it easier for koi feeding naturally. Small quantities of brown bread, broken and rolled into balls, are also good food starting this spring. Regulating the feeding function of the temperature of the water of the pond.
